Volume of cargo traffic by rail exceeds 5.7M tons in Azerbaijan

In January-April 2025, Azerbaijan’s cargo transportation by rail amounted to just over 5.712 million tons, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
According to data, there was a 4.3% or a 258,000-ton decline compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
In 2025, the volume of goods transported by economic entities operating in Azerbaijan’s transport sector was 76.1 million tons. Some 7.5% of the goods were transported by railway.
