A new highway will be built from Goygol to Kalbajar, Report informs, citing head of the department at the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, Hidayat Rustamov.
"The road (102 km) will pass through Murovdag, from Toganali village of Goygol to Kalbajar city, and from there to Istisu. It will consist of three lanes so that trucks do not obstruct cars' movement in mountainous areas. A project for the road is currently being prepared," he said.
Moreover, according to Rustamov, it is planned to build a ring road from Kalbajar to Lachin.
"The construction of the Gubadly-Lachin highway is also envisaged. And the Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Gubadli highway will be rebuilt as a highway," he added.
