Passenger transportation on Baku-Balakan railway route to begin soon

Passenger transportation on the Baku-Balakan railway route will begin in the coming days.
According to Report, the head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) Rovshan Rustamov stated that preparations for the launch of the route are nearing completion.
"We will soon announce the date of the first train departure on the route. The infrastructure is fully ready, and repair works at the stations are being completed," he noted.
During January-October of this year, 6.94 million passengers were transported by rail in Azerbaijan, which is 23.6% more than in the same period last year.
