Passenger transport by rail in Azerbaijan up more than 96%

In January-May this year, 7 million tons of cargo (+14%) and 1.720 million passengers (+96.2%) were transported by rail, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

On average, 294 wagons were loaded and 371 unloaded per day.

During the day, 14.2 thousand tons of cargo were loaded in the northern direction, 2.8 thousand tons in the western direction, and 0.5 thousand tons in the southern direction.
