The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) means economic revival and creates more connectivity opportunities for SPECA (UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia) countries, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, said at the 18th session of SPECA Governing Council.
The minister said that Azerbaijan does not only play the role of transit in the Middle Corridor but also takes steps to increase the efficiency of the corridor: "Our country's ports located on the Caspian Sea are an important part of the Middle Corridor. These ports allow us to reduce time and transit costs. By cooperating with our regional partners, we create conditions for the transportation of goods from other countries."
