The approach of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the field of sustainable urban development, and his plans to transform Baku and the entire country, are aimed at turning the country into a modern space with highly interconnected infrastructure, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Pakistan's Punjab province, said at the Leaders' Summit within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
"Being here in Baku, I do not feel like I am in a foreign city. I am proud that my first foreign visit in an official capacity took place in Azerbaijan. I came to Baku, which is a vivid example of progress, resilience, and modern development," she said.
