The 300th container train was sent from the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi'an (PRC) along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR or Middle Corridor), Report informs, citing Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ).
The dispatch was organized in cooperation with the key partners of the route - ADY Express (Azerbaijan) and Xi'an Free Trade Port (China).
The anniversary train, going to Azerbaijan via Kazakhstan, emphasizes the high interest of shippers in TITR and its strategic importance as one of the key transport corridors providing fast and efficient communication between China and Europe.
Last year, 11 container trains were transported in transit along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and since the beginning of this year - already 300. This result significantly exceeds the figures for all previous years, confirming the rapid growth of the TITR efficiency.
The terminal in Xi'an is an important logistics hub that has given new impetus to the development of the TITR. Consolidation of cargo here from various provinces of China has optimized logistics processes and provided high transportation indicators. This became possible due to the close-knit work of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC with the railway and port administrations of China, Azerbaijan and other TITR participants.
At the moment, the volume of transportation from China along the TITR has exceeded 27,000 containers in twenty-foot equivalent, which is 25 times more than in the same period last year.
