Kazakhstan, Singapore to speed up cargo clearance along Middle Corridor

On May 3, 2024, KTZ Express JSC (KTZE), led by CEO Damir Kozhakhmetov, and Global DTC Pte Ltd (DTC), under the leadership of CEO Wee Tan Yeong, have jointly launched the digital corridor initiative, Report informs via Global DTC.

"This collaboration, aimed at enhancing multimodal transport between Asia and Europe via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), marks the beginning of a unified digital ecosystem in Kazakhstan. The project includes the implementation of customs clearance for electronic transit of goods traveling by rail from China to Europe countries using the Tez Customs platform," the company said.

According to the company, the key objectives include launching a project for the digital customs clearance of goods transiting from China to the European Union through Kazakhstan and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Tez Customs digital platform in accordance with Kazakh legislation.

"This agreement, signed today in Singapore, represents a major step forward in our mission to digitalize and streamline logistics across international borders," the company said.
