Active work is underway to create a joint venture on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, Middle Corridor), Secretary-General of the Association of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Gaidar Abdikerimov, who is on a visit to Baku, told Report.

He said that there are currently several solutions in connection with the corridor, one of them is the creation of a joint venture: “We are actively working on this. It will help solve very important issues. It will also allow us to improve customer service.”

Member countries of the Middle Corridor - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkiye are participating in the creation of the joint venture.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was created in February 2014 with the participation of the relevant structures of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. Later Ukraine, Romania and Poland joined the project. Currently, the route starts from the Chinese-Kazakh border, passes through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and extends to Europe. A single tariff, a single-window principle, operates throughout the route.
