Construction of 39 automobile tunnels underway in Karabakh, East Zangazur

Construction of 39 automobile tunnels with a total length of 66 km is underway as part of the road infrastructure projects implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions, which will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the territories liberated from occupation.

Report informs citing the State Automobile Roads Agency of Azerbaijan that seven road tunnels with a total length of 12,690.6 meters are being built on the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, seven tunnels with a total length of 2,358 meters on the Khudafarin-Gubadli-Lachin highway, and three tunnels extending to 12,032.79 meters on the Horadiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Aghband highway, 5 tunnels with a total length of 25,926.97 meters on the Toganaly-Kalbajar-Istisu highway and 17 tunnels with a total length of 12,964.61 meters on the Kalbajar-Lachin highway.
