Cargo transport on TRACECA’s Azerbaijani section goes up by over 2%

In January-November 2021, the volume of goods transported on the Azerbaijani section of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor (TRACECA) amounted to 36,402,400 tons, and the cargo turnover was 8,675.7 million tons/km, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Under the report, this is 2.4% and 2.6% more than the same period in 2020, respectively.
For 11 months, 20,129,700 tons or 55.3% of cargo was transported by road, 12,166,200 tons or 33.4% - by rail, 4,106,500 tons or 11.3% - by sea transport. Some 21.9% or 7,962,400 tons of cargo, transported along the corridor, were transit cargoes.
