Baku announces plans for tram and metrobus network

The Baku General Masterplan until 2040 provides for the launch of the tram and metrobus network in the capital of Azerbaijan, according to Report.

The city currently accounts for a large number of unused railway reinforced lanes and unused freight lines.

The mentioned infrastructure can be reactivated and used more efficiently.

The capabilities of the existing and reconstructed railway infrastructure, as well as the possibility of expanding the high-speed tram transport infrastructure, can be used in the tram-electric train system.
