Azerbaijan, Turkiye to optimize freight transportation along BTK railway

Azerbaijan and Turkiye have agreed to take necessary steps to optimize cargo transportation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, Report informs.
The agreement was reached at the meeting of Rovshan Rustamov, chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), with the delegation of TCDD (State Railways of the Republic of Turkiye) Transportation Company.
“Today, we met with the delegation of TCDD Transportation Company. We extensively discussed the program of joint activities within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport route with our Turkish colleagues. We agreed to take the necessary steps to optimize cargo transportation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line,” Rovshan Rustamov said.
