Azerbaijan's Ministry of Transport: Developing pedestrian infrastructure in Baku continues

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will continue efforts to develop infrastructure considering pedestrian convenience, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov said at a press conference summarizing the year 2024, Report informs.

Hummatov reminded that the number of pedestrian walkways in the capital increased last year.

"The more pedestrian roads are organized, the more we observe an increase in pedestrian traffic," he said.

As an example, he cited the closure of roads near "28 May" and "Icherisheher" metro stations, as well as the Khagani Garden, known as the Molokan Garden.

He emphasized that the process of developing pedestrian infrastructure continues, including widening sidewalks, installing ramps, and illuminating pedestrian paths.
