Azerbaijan Railways sees 29% surge in passenger traffic

Azerbaijan's railway network has witnessed a substantial increase in passenger traffic. According to the latest data released by the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), September saw a remarkable 29% surge in the number of passengers transported, compared to the same period last year.
The Absheron Ring Railway carried 770,977 passengers in September, representing a 28% increase from the previous year.
Other notable routes also experienced significant passenger growth. The Baku-Agstafa-Baku line, connecting the capital city with the western regions of Azerbaijan, transported 34,509 passengers, marking a 46% increase compared to September last year. Similarly, the Baku-Gabala-Baku route attracted 3,500 travelers, a 53% rise from the previous year.
