Azerbaijan Railways modernizes Bash Alat station

Major reconstruction and modernization work is continuing at the Bash Alat station of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY).

ADY told Report that railway tracks, infrastructure elements and the overhead contact system are being renewed in stages as part of the project.

The tracks that provide access for freight trains arriving from the Baku Port and from the southern direction to the station's sorting yard are also being modernized.

The work is aimed at ensuring safer train movement, making operations more flexible and sustainable, and expanding overall freight transport capacity.
