Azerbaijan and Türkiye held discussions on joint measures to be taken in the direction of developing the Middle Corridor, Report informs citing Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

According to the information, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov, who is on a business trip to Türkiye, held a number of bilateral meetings today.

First, during the meeting with Hasan Pezuk, Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish State Railways (TCDD), the development of the existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of railways, the mutual interest of the Kars-Nakhchivan railway and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line project were discussed. Also, an agreement was reached on the exchange of experience between the railway institutions of the two countries.

Later, Rustamov met with Ufuk Yalcın, Director General of TCDD Tasımacılık. During the meeting, discussions were held on possible perspectives of bilateral cooperation, the current state of cooperation between our countries in the field of international cargo transportation, and joint measures to be taken regarding future plans.
