In the Turkmen city of Arkadag, rainwater and groundwater are being used to irrigate green zones, Deputy Mayor Nazar Joytyyev said during an event held as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
According to Report, Nazar Joytyyev stated that water resources in Turkmenistan are treated with special care, and this principle is also integrated into urban development projects.
He noted that work is currently underway on the reuse of treated wastewater as part of the second phase of the city's construction.
"These waters will be used for irrigation not only in Arkadag but also in nearby settlements," he added.
