Ambassador: Construction of An-178 planes in Azerbaijan scheduled for 2018-2019

Baku. 7 February. REPORT.AZ/ “Construction of An-178 airplanes in Azerbaijan is scheduled to start in 2018-2019”.
The Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishenko told Report.
He reminded that there is an agreement between Baku and Kiev for supply of 10 cargo airplanes. Ambassador added that Ukrainian side prepares two airplanes for sale, other 8 airplanes will be constructed in Azerbaijan.
“Deputy chairman of Ukraine National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovski and President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Asgerov hold regular consultations. AZAL has already started construction of premises for modules and assembly process”, the diplomat noted.
