All modes of transport in Azerbaijan soon may be paid for with bank cards

Proposals have been submitted to relevant government agencies to allow card payments for travel on other means of transport in Azerbaijan, in addition to the railway, said Abbas Ibrahimov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Bank of Azerbaijan OJSC, Report informs.

"We are ready for this. Currently, our customers can pay on the railway not only with a card, but also through Apple Pay and Google Pay. We have provided them with this opportunity. We have submitted our proposals regarding the use of cards in other public transport means to the relevant institutions. We have enough experience and knowledge to quickly expand the scope of this service if there is approval to apply it," Ibrahimov said.
