Due to the unstable situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, administrative authorities did not impose restrictions on arbitrary construction for decades, Iraqi representative Muhammed Abdullah said at WUF13 in Baku.
Report quotes him as saying the development of the master plan for Erbil began with the collection of data from various cities and settlements across the Kurdistan Region.
"Based on this data, we prepared priority projects for cities that will be supervised and implemented by the General Directorate of Urban Planning," he said.
