86% of Asgaran–Khojaly–Khankandi highway completed

The implementation rate of the Asgaran–Khojaly–Khankandi highway project has reached 86%, Report informs, citing the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA).

According to the AAYDA, the 14.1‑kilometer road is being built to the first technical category as part of infrastructure projects in the liberated territories. The roadbed width varies up to 26.5 meters depending on the terrain.

Earthworks have been fully completed, and a new roadbed has been constructed. Work is currently underway on the foundation and asphalt‑concrete layers of the road surface.

Additionally, construction of 3 bridges, 9 rectangular and 38 circular culverts, 23 reserve crossings, and installation of 14 bus stops have already been completed.

The Asgaran–Khojaly–Khankandi highway is expected to significantly improve transport connectivity in the region, enhance the efficiency of freight and passenger transportation, and contribute to the development of agriculture and tourism potential.
