Kazakhstan intends to build five border trade and logistics complexes by 2026. Cross-border hubs will cover the export potential of enterprises in the regions of the country, according to the Ministry of Trade and Integration, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.
They will be created on the border with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and China.
The activities of trade and logistics hubs will be aimed at ensuring industrial cooperation in the field of warehousing, storage, processing, production of new goods and their further sale with integration into international commodity distribution systems.
It will also provide services for short-term storage, logistics, lease of trading places, pre-sale preparation, consolidation and redistribution of goods by wholesale lots, loading and unloading, and development of transcontinental cargo transportation.
The creation of large trade and logistics centers will have a positive impact on the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, activate business ties between manufacturers and entrepreneurs of neighboring states, and stimulate an increase in mutual trade between them.
