In 2025, Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park is set to welcome at least five new enterprises, Elchin Kazimov, the spokesperson for the Economic Zones Development Agency, told Report.
The new ventures will focus on producing electric buses, light to heavy trucks, construction chemicals, building materials, and cardboard packaging for agricultural products, among other goods.
From 2015 to 2024, the park produced goods worth 13.2 billion manats, with exports reaching 4.6 billion manats to more than 70 countries. Investments of over 5.5 billion manats have been made in the park, generating more than 6,400 permanent jobs.
The Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park was established under a presidential decree on December 21, 2011, spanning an area of 613 hectares.
