Production in non-oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan up by 8%

In January-March 2024, industrial enterprises and private entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan produced industrial goods worth 15.7 billion manats ($9.23 billion).

Referring to the State Statistical Committee, Report informs that production in the oil and gas sector increased by 0.2% over the past year, and by 7.8% in the non-oil and gas sector.

Some 64.5% of the industrial output was made in the mining sector, 29% in the processing sector, 5.7% in the sector of production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.8% in the water supply sector, waste treatment, and recycling.

In the mining sector, marketable oil production decreased by 6%, while marketable gas production increased by 5.4%.

Production in the sector of production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam decreased by 5.2%, while in the sector of water supply, waste treatment, and recycling, it increased by 6.6%.
