Tokyo-2020: Azerbaijan secures second medal

Alfonso Dominguez has won the second medal for Azerbaijan in the Tokyo-2020 Summer Olympic Games. Report informs that the 26-year-old athlete who competes in the weight category of 69 upset Turkey's Bayram Malkan in the quarterfinal.
According to the rules, a boxer who makes his way to the semifinal automatically gains bronze, which means that Dominguez will add one more medal to Azerbaijan's assets. Whether it will be bronze or silver will be determined in the coming days.
Notably, female judoka Irina Kindzerska (+78 kg) claimed the first medal for Azerbaijan today.
