Opening ceremony of World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics held in Baku

Baku has hosted the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Report informs that first, the flags of the participating countries were brought to the arena.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Mariana Vasileva greeted the participants and wished them success: "Baku is hosting another prestigious sporting event. The state pays special attention to sports in the country. Therefore, our sporting success is increasing, and gymnastics in Azerbaijan is developing every year. The existing conditions allow us to hold international competitions at a high level. We are grateful to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the created conditions."

Then Vasileva declared the World Cup open, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was sounded.

The competition will end on April 24. This will be the 9th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku. Azerbaijan also hosted the World Championships in this sport in 2005 and 2019.
