"I am happy to return home with a medal, I will prepare better and try to become a champion at the next Olympics," Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler, bronze medalist of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris Hasrat Jafarov told journalists at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport upon returning to his homeland, Report informs.
Assessing the performance of the wrestlers, the athlete emphasized that they performed poorly in their debut.
"This had a negative impact on the team members. On the last day, I won the only medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. The Olympic Games are considered the most prestigious competitions. But personally, I was not stressed," Jafarov added.
