Double Olympic weightlifting champion dies

Baku. 14 January. REPORT.AZ/ Ukraine double Olympic weightlifting champion, multiple world, European and the USSR champion, Leonid Zhabotinski passed away.
Report informs referring to official website of Zaporozhye City Hall, famous athlete died at the age of 78.
Cause of his death was not disclosed.
Notably, during athlete career Leonid Zhabotinsky set 19 world, 20 USSR and 58 Ukrainian record in super heavyweight. He was Olympic champion in 1964, 1968, world champion in 1964 - 1966 and 1968, European champion in 1966 and 1968, USSR champion in 1964 - 1969.
