Commonwealth chief calls on MINEPS VII participants to work out practical step to develop sports

The Commonwealth Secretary General has called on the participants of the MINEPS VII conference in Baku to work out practical steps to develop sports, according to Report.

Investments in sports are very important, as they will become a catalyst for the development of this area, Patricia Scotland said speaking at a ministerial meeting as part of the 7th International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sports (MINEPS VII) in Baku.

Every dollar invested in sports gives a return, she said.

According to her, the world is full of conflicts, diseases, both physical and psychological. In addition, the pandemic has negatively affected the education sector. And concrete steps are needed to solve such problems, as well as to develop sports.
