Azerbaijani wrestlers start competing in World Championship

Baku. 21 August. REPORT.AZ/ The World Wrestling Championships starting today in Paris, France.
Report informs, Greco-Roman wrestlers at 71 kg, 75 kg, 85 kg and 98 kg weight categories will compete on the first day of the competition.
Azerbaijan will be represented in all weight categories. The winner of the last 2015 World Championships Rasul Chunayev (71 kg) will compete in the 1/32 finals. His first rival is Honduran Jefrin Benito Mejia Sambula.
The remaining wrestlers will start appearing in the 1/16 finals.
The first rival of 2010 European and world champion Hasan Aliyev (75 kg) will be Japanese Shohei Yabiku.
The winner of the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games Islam Abbasov (85 kg) will face Ricardo Diego Cardenas Esquen (Peru).
Another prizer of the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games Orkhan Nuriyev (98 kg) will compete with Honduran Kevin Mejia Castillo.
The first matches will start at 12:00 Baku time and final matches at 21:00.
Notably, the World Championship will last till August 26.
