Azerbaijani weightlifters squad to compete at European Championship named - LIST

Warsaw. 9 September REPORT.AZ/ Under 15&17 European Weightlifting Championship will start in Nowy Tomyśl, Poland, September 10.

Eastern Europe bureau of Report News Agency informs, members of Azerbaijani weightlifting national team will also participate in the continental championship.

National team includes 16 athletes. Weightlifters will compete in 13 weight categories.

Gulbaniz Nazarli (44 kg), Shafa Farajova (48 kg), Lala Rzazade (53 kg), Fidan Huseynzade (63 kg) will fight at women's U15 as well Novruz Mukhtarli, Rustam Gasimov, Isa Hasanli (all 50 kg), Elmaddin Huseynov (56 kg), Fugan Aliyev (62 kg), Alimardan Alkhasov, Tarmenkhan Babayev (69 kg) at men's.

As for U17 competition, Sabina Azimova (48 kg), Fidan Abdurahmanova (69 kg) will compete at women's, Ismayil Mammadov (56 kg), Isa Rustamov (62 kg), Kamran Aghalarov (77 kg) at men's.

360 athletes from 30 countries will compete for medals at the European Championship lasting until September 17.
