Azerbaijani karate fighter wins silver in France

Baku. 30 January. REPORT.AZ/ The first race of Karate1 Premier League-Paris 2017 has begun. Report informs referring to Azerbaijan National Karate Federation, member of the national team Iryna Zaretska 68 kg won silver medal.

Niyazi Aliyev 67 kg in turn, couldn't win bronze medal.

Due to financial difficulties, national team of Azerbaijan could not leave for Paris due to the financial difficulties and only few karate fighters from Azerbaijan took part in Karate1 Premier League-Paris 2017 which is the one of prestigious tournaments of World Karate Federation (WKF).

Roman Heydarov failed to continue due to the health problems, Sarhan Guluzade 84 kg because of injury.

Notably, international referees Yusif Mammadov and Anar Allahverdiyev took part in competition.
