Azerbaijani judoka hospitalized after serious injury at Paris 2024 Olympics

Olympic dreams of Azerbaijani judoka Eljan Hajiyev came to a heartbreaking halt during the 1/8 finals of the men's 90kg category at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

According to Report, in a fierce battle against French judoka Ngayap Hambou, Hajiyev suffered a severe injury that required immediate hospitalization.

The athlete had previously defeated Turkish judoka Michael Zganka in the 1/16 finals.
