Azerbaijani judoka begins fight at Paris-2024 with victory

Azerbaijani judoka Eljan Hajiyev has commenced his journey at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games with a victory, Report informs.
Competing in the 90 kg weight category, Hajiyev faced Türkiye’s Mihael Zgank in the 1/16 final stage. After defeating his opponent, Hajiyev advanced to the 1/8 finals.
The Paris 2024 Olympics will conclude on August 11. Earlier, Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) secured a gold medal.
