Azerbaijani athlete nominated for “The best triathlete of The year”

Azerbaijani triathlete Rostyslav Pevtsov is among the nominees for "The best triathlete of the Year."
Report informs that the 32-year-old Ukrainian won European Championship bronze this season and the European Cup. He is also the winner of the Aquathlon World Championship.
Pevtsov showed excellent performance at the first World Beach Games in Qatar, where he grabbed bronze in water freestyle and came second in the relay with Ksenia Levkovskaya. Representing Azerbaijan, he is struggling to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
The other candidates are Sam Dickinson and Ben Dykstra.
Notably, the winner will be announced at a conference of the European Triathlon Union (ETU) in Minsk (Belarus) on February 14 - 16, 2020.
