Al Bano to perform at opening of World Judo Championship in Baku

Baku. 28 August. REPORT.AZ / The Italian famous singer Al Bano is going to perform at the opening of World Judo Championship to be held on September 20 in Baku.

The 75-year-old singer will come to Azerbaijan with the invitation of International Judo Federation. He will perform in the opening ceremony to take place in National Gymnastics Arena, Report informs.

Al Bano, who is popular with the song ‘Felicita’, sang IJF’s anthem in Budapest, Hungary and performed in the opening ceremony of world championship last year.

Till today Al Bano has sold 165 million albums around the world.

Al Bano Carrisi has been UNODCCP Goodwill Ambassador since 2001.

World Judo Championship will be held on September 20-27 in Baku.
