Shahbuz landmine incident: Authorities launch investigation

A young shepherd from the Sharur District of Azerbaijan is battling for his life after stepping on a landmine in the Shahbuz district. The incident occurred on August 11, 2024, near the Ganligol lake in the Shahbuz pasture.
According to Report, Bakhtiyar Sultanov, born in 2005 in the village of Mahmudkand in the Sharur district, suffered severe injuries in the explosion. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Shahbuz District, along with prosecutor-criminalists and engineering-sapper units of the Azerbaijani army, conducted a thorough examination of the scene and carried out necessary procedural actions. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
