Baku. 17 March. REPORT.AZ/ Today Baku Court of Appeal concluded the trial on the appeal of the journalist Rauf Mirgadirov.
Report informs, the trial presided by Judge Abid Abdinbayov has delivered a judgment.
The court gave 5 years probation to the journalist.
He was released in the courtroom.
R.Mirgadirov was detained in April 2014 in Turkey, then he was deported to Azerbaijan. He is charged under Art. 274 (high treason) of the Criminal Code. In accordance with the verdict of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the journalist was sentenced to 6 years in prison. R.Mirgadirov appealed against the verdict.
