Penitentiary service dismisses reports of hunger strike allegedly staged by prisoners

Baku. 22 January. REPORT.AZ/ The Penitentiary Service has commented on reports in some media outlets about the hunger strike allegedly staged by some prisoners.
Head of the Public Relations Department at the Penitentiary Service Mehman Sadigov told Report that neither a prisoner nor a detainee stages a hunger strike in any detention facility and prisons under their governance.
"These reports are untrue and are aimed at misleading the public," Sadigov added.
