Baku. 9 January. REPORT.AZ/ Iranian woman and her daughter who tried to depart to United Kingdom with fake passports have been detained at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.

Report was informed in the press service of State Border Service (SBS), following the measures carried out by border agents at Heydar Aliyev International Airport on January 4, Cimen Aysegül born in 30.06.1978 and Cimen Zeynebsu born in 22.12.2009 were detained after their behavior raised suspicion. They tried to fly to London from Baku with fake British passports.

As a result of investigations it turned out that they have arrived in Azerbaijan by Istanbul-Baku flight on 01.01.2018 and were Iranian citizens Mohammadi Zeinab Kiamars born in 06.12.1979 and her child Parvarash Paniz Ali born in 21.03.2009.

The fake passports were bought for $15,000 in Istanbul from an Iranian citizen named Mohammad.

A criminal case was launched and relevant operational-investigative measures is underway.
