Human trafficking often committed by women

Last year, 20 people were charged with human trafficking and forced labor cases, said the annual report of the National Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of Azerbaijan for 2020.
Report informs that of those charged with this crime, 17 are women and 3 are men.
By the decision of the courts, 12 people were sentenced to imprisonment, and 2 faced suspended sentences. The punishment of one person was postponed.
