Education Ministry denies pupils, teachers die in school collapse in Nakhchivan

The Education Ministry has commented on reports alleging that a secondary school building collapsed in Nakhchivan, resulting in deaths among teachers and students, Report informs.

"The media reports about numerous casualties among pupils and teachers as a result of the collapse of the building of secondary school No. 3 in Nehram of Babak District of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are wide of the mark. In connection with the repair and construction work carried out at the school from March 1, 2022, the pupils of the school continue their education at the Nehram secondary school No. 1, the ministry informs with reference to the relevant agencies. The public will be provided with additional information on this issue."
