Drone helps detect violator of Azerbaijan-Georgia border

A violator of the Azerbaijan-Georgia border has been detected with the help of a drone, Report informs referring to the press center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS).

On August 22 at 17:30 (GMT+4), the Zagatala border detachment received operational information that in the service area of ​​the frontier post, located near the village of Kapanakchi, Zagatala district, an unknown person crossed the Alazani River, violating the state border from Azerbaijan to Georgia and in the opposite direction.

The border guards cordoned off the service area and raised a drone into the air to search for the border violator.

After 15 minutes, the whereabouts of the man was established. The detainee was a resident of the village of Mosul, Zagatala district, Zakir Khastarov, born in 1964. During interrogation, the man confessed that he illegally crossed the state border.
