At today's session of the Baku Military Court, defendant Arkadi Ghukasyan was questioned regarding documents examined during the previous hearing.
According to Report, while answering the prosecutors' questions, he admitted that Azerbaijanis had been forced to leave Khankandi.
Ghukasyan stated that he became acquainted with leaders of groups that committed crimes against Azerbaijanis — Robert Kocharyan from 1992, Samvel Babayan from 1993, and Murad Petrosyan from 2000.
When asked about the explosion of the bridge over the Khalfali River, the defendant said he remembered the incident.
He confirmed that during the events in the 1990s, people came from Armenia to Azerbaijani territories (including Khankandi and other areas), but claimed to have no knowledge about the origin of the weapons.
The trial continues against citizens of the Republic of Armenia accused of committing numerous crimes — including crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, planning and waging an aggressive war, genocide, violations of the laws and customs of war, as well as terrorism, financing terrorism, violent seizure and retention of power, and many other offenses — as a result of Armenia’s military aggression.
