Science Academy official: Support of Turkish, Azerbaijani Presidents shows importance of TEKNOFEST

The holding of the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in Azerbaijan for the first time outside of Turkiye indicates that the President of Azerbaijan pays special attention to this area, Vice-President of the National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan (ANAS), Chairman of the ANAS working group on participation in the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival, academician Rasim Aliguliyev told Report.

According to him, it is as a result of the targeted policy pursued in Azerbaijan in the field of ICT that the country is hosting such a prestigious event: “The holding of the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in our country, which will feature the latest achievements in the field of technology, should be regarded as a landmark event.

The great support provided by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to holding this event in our country and the expected participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan is an indicator of its great historical significance. The innovations brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution require the creation of a technological society. Holding such an event in a country that is currently on an innovative development path will increase interest in Azerbaijan from other countries. In addition, TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan will create unique opportunities for many multinational companies to choose Azerbaijan as a regional center.”

Aliguliyev noted that at the exhibition, which will be held on May 26-29, ANAS would be represented in the pavilion by projects proposed by five institutes of the Department of Physical, Mathematical, and Technical Sciences and five residents of the High Technology Park.
