Nvidia market value jumps $442 billion in one day

The market capitalization of US company Nvidia increased by $442 billion on August 27, marking the second-largest one-day gain in stock market history.

According to Bloomberg, cited by Report, the increase came after the chipmaker released its financial results. Nvidia's gain was surpassed only by Microsoft's record, when its market capitalization rose by $450 billion on July 30 following the release of its financial results. Microsoft shares rose 15.51% to $451.10 that day.

Before that, Nvidia itself held the record for the largest one-day increase in market value, when its capitalization rose by $440 billion.
