Mustafa Aydin: Digitalization has potential to further advance Azerbaijan-Türkiye co-op

Digitalization holds immense potential to further develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Mustafa Aydin, the Deputy Chairman of Türkiye's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, said at the 8th International Banking Forum in Baku, Report informs.

"The modernization of digital banking and payment systems not only supports economic growth but also ensures easier access to financial services and economic independence for people," Aydin stated. He further highlighted that this is one of the most crucial cornerstones of financial freedom.

Aydin expressed confidence that joint projects and collaborations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the digital realm will not only enhance regional competitiveness but also secure a significant position in the international market.

He added that the transition of digital payment systems into e-commerce areas creates new needs for ensuring the security of these ecosystems.

"Azerbaijan's rapidly growing digital banking and fintech ecosystem, combined with Türkiye's years of experience, will create a powerful synergy for regional leadership," Aydin remarked. He emphasized that this partnership will benefit not only the banking sector but also consumers, local businesses, and entrepreneurs.
