Human capital is key to Azerbaijan's digital transformation

Investment in human capital is the key condition for digital transformation in Azerbaijan, Huseyn Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, said at the Technovation Forum in Baku under the theme Resilience and Energy Transformation, Report informs.

According to him, transformation is carried out not only by technology but by people:

"That is why Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of human capital and makes significant investments in this area. Through the national 4IR Academy program implemented in partnership with the US company Coursera, tens of thousands of our citizens have benefited from world-class educational opportunities in artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and other future-oriented fields. Our goal is not merely to use technology. Our aim is to create new value through technology, promote innovation, and build human resources equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for this."

Huseynov emphasized that technology is now defining new rules of the global economy:

"Technology is reshaping industries worldwide, changing the criteria of competitiveness, and creating new centers of economic value. Today, countries compete not only with natural resources or geographical location but with innovation potential, human capital, and the ability to apply new technologies on a large scale."
