Alphabet Inc's (GOOGL.O) Google said it had blocked mobile apps connected to RT and Sputnik from its Play store, in line with an earlier move to remove the Russian state publishers from its news-related features, Report informs.
The accounts of these Russian media outlets in TikTok and Instagram have ceased functioning in the EU, and Meta will restrict access to them in the EU countries.
Sputnik said earlier that access to the agency's Instagram accounts has already been blocked in almost thirty European countries.
